Special Notice regarding potential SNAP disruption on November 1, 2025
With the government shutdown, as of November 1, 2025, there is a strong potential for a disruption or delay in the disbursement of government benefits related to SNAP funds. If you or someone you know is impacted by this, our food bank is here to assist.
Please be aware that our boundaries are the cities of Star, Eagle, Emmett and Middleton. If you are outside of these cities, please visit the Idaho Food Bank website, click the Get Help button enter your ZIP Code and find local food banks near you.
If you live in one of our covered cities and need to sign up for our services, please call us BEFORE you arrive to register - 208-779-0046. We will walk you through the simple registration process and share helpful information before you arrive for one of our bi-weekly food distributions. All telephonic signups are from Monday through Friday, 9am - 5pm.
Our Hours of Operation are Tuedays from 1:30-3:30pm and Thursdays from 3:00-5:30pm. We offer a drive through distribution where you stay in your car and our volunteers come to you. Please do not arrive more than 30 minutes prior to distribution. This can disrupt our neighbors places of business and is not necessary in order to receive food on distribution day.

It all started with a collection of members in 2009 responding to a economic crisis in their community. Since then, we have grown to be a full service food bank provider, meeting the needs of those struggling with food insecurity.

Need food assistance & New to the Star Food Bank?
Give us a call @ (208) 779-0046 to get registered. We will need to verify some basic information as a part of the process.
We can sign you up any time BEFORE distribution starts, Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm.
Food Distribution Hours
Tuesdays - 1:30 - 3:30pm
Thursdays - 3:00 - 5:30pm
We run a drive-through distribution. Please stay in your car & a volunteer will come to you.
Please DO NOT line up before 1pm on Tuesdays and 2:30pm on Thursdays.
If you line up before this time, you will be turned away. Thank you for assisting us and helping us be good neighbors
